Mechanical Engineering

This degree starts with an introduction to key mechanical engineering topics, such as statics and dynamics, thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, stress analysis, mechanical design and technical drawing. There should also be the opportunity to specialise in a specific field within which mechanical engineering skills are applied, such as vehicle design, robotics, nanotechnology or energy.

*Please note: mechanical engineering departments may have a preference for maths A Levels (or equivalent) with a strong mechanics component.*
